Judy R. Horwitz

Judy Horwitz died on March 26, 2025. Born on June 1st, 1941, to Sydney L. Robin and Shirley Robin, Judy lived in Glencoe, IL for the majority of her life and spent the last fifteen years in Park City, UT. A lifelong learner and graduate of Mount Holyoke College, she became a Bat Mitzvah in Park City at the age of 71. Judy was a longtime community activist who most recently worked in Guatemala and Uganda helping provide access to eye care. She served on the boards of a myriad of charitable organizations, held elected office, and was actively engaged in her communities. Judy was energetic, adventurous and authentic. She had a passion for helping people, travel, golfing, hiking, and skiing. Her unique spirit and boundless energy were extraordinary and inspiring. Judy is survived by her husband, Don; her three daughters and their spouses, Gail and Marshall Miller, Linda Horwitz and Sally Kolin, and Terry and Geoff Kass; and her five grandchildren, Chip, Robin, Daphne, Whitney, and Gracie.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 30th, 11:30am at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091. Service will be livestreamed (www.asimplestreaming.com/jhorwitz/).
