Edward H. White III, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2020.Born in Chicago to the late Margaret (Brazelton) and Edward H. White, Jr., Ed was a graduate of Leo High School, a devoted member of the Leo High School Alumni Association, and proud Hall of Famer. He married Mary Lally in 1956 and they eventually settled in St. John Fisher parish in Chicago where they raised their family.Ed touched countless lives through his many years as a youth basketball coach at St.John Fisher and St. Thomas More. He eventually retired from the City of Chicago, which gave him the pleasure of spending more time on the golf course. Most recently, his beloved White Sox provided a real bright spot in an otherwise cruel year.Ed is also survived by his children Sheila (John) Stachura, Lisa (Jerry McNulty) White- McNulty, Stephen (Susanne Peters) White and Maria (Jeff) Lifka; sister, Mary Lou (Francis) Donohoe; grandchildren Mallory (fiance Philip McLaughlin) and Lauren McSweeney, Andrea (Michael Breier) White, John and Patrick McNulty, Sean, Caroline, Elizabeth and Brian Lifka; great-grandchildren Rylie and Reece Breier; fond nieces and nephews; friends from Gleneagles Country Club and Willow Falls Independent Living.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael (Helen) White.Special thanks to Integrity Senior Services and the Joliet Area Community Hospice.& A private service at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home and funeral Mass at St. John Fisher Church with family only will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020. Mass will be live streamed. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
