Janet M. Joyce, nee Brown, Devoted wife of James (Ret. CFD) for 60 years; Loving mother of Jennifer (Pete) Smykowski, Jim (Claudia) Joyce, Jarrett Joyce, and Joseph Joyce; Proud Grandma of Sophia, Tommy, James, Henry, Helen, Micky, Maggie, Brendan, and Freddy; Beloved sister of the late Judy (late Mike) D’isa, and the late Gerry (late Carol) Brown; Dear sister-in-law of Tom (late Rosemary) Joyce, Kathy (Tom) Gibbons, Mary (Kevin) Conlon, Ann (Tom) Donnellan, Ed (late Teri) Joyce, and P.J. Joyce; Cherished aunt and friend to many; Retired teacher of 22 years at St. Catherine of Alexandria, and Golden Apple Award Recipient; Janet lived a life full of faith, family and friends. She inspired many of her former students to become educators. A parishioner of St. John Fisher for 48 years, Janet was the original “church lady”, volunteering for parish events right up until God called her home. We would like to think she is laughing uncontrollably with her siblings and friends, smiling down on us! She was impossible not to love!
