Mary Loretta “Mary Lou” Carroll (nee Henry), age 90. Beloved wife of the late John Patrick “Jack” Carroll. Loving mother of Patricia (Miles) Cahill, Therese (James) Coghlan, John (Renee), Thomas (Susan), Joseph (Lizzet), Anne (Joseph) Palmer, Catherine (Lars) Andersson, William, and the late Michael. Dear grandmother of Alexander and Michael Cahill; Meghan Coghlan (Brian Hartwig), James C. (Rita) Coghlan, and Anne (Brian) Mulchrone; Laura, and John M. Carroll; Thomas Carroll Jr.; Jason McDermott; Natalie, Jack, and Vivian Palmer; and Birgitta, Matthew, and Elliott Andersson. Great Grandmother of Jack, Cate, and Maeve Hartwig; Marie, Kiera, Elle, and James Coghlan; Theo and Tess Mulchrone; Grace and Christopher Carroll; and Samuel Cahill. Sister of the late Richard (Kim) Brennan, Carol (the late James) Wiethoff, and the late William Brennan. Beloved Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou is fondly remembered for her beautiful singing voice and talent for always knowing the lyrics, infectious laugh, adventurous spirit, amazing cakes, and, above all, her undying love and devotion to family and friends. She was adored by all who knew her. Visitation Friday, Dec. 16th at St. Barnabas Church, 10134 S. Longwood Dr. Chicago from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. and Saturday Dec. 17th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
