Anita Louise Jankovsky
OCTOBER 30, 1940 – AUGUST 15, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Louise Jankovsky. Anita passed on August 15, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born in Chicago, IL and graduated from St. Philomena high school class of 1956. Anita started working right away as a stenographer and worked most of her adult years before choosing to put more time into raising her family.
Anita loved all her family and when a new baby was born you could find her playing “zooka zooka zoo” with them on her lap in no time. A loving and kindhearted woman who was quick to talk on the phone for hours or sit with you and a glass of wine. Some of her hobbies were shopping on HSN, shopping on QVC, and shopping. If she wasn’t shopping, she might be at the casino, but ultimately, she just loved being with people. She was asked to be an Ambassador at her Senior Living Center to help welcome new residents in and she loved it and they loved her. She was loved by many and will be missed.
Anita is survived by her husband George, her sons Mark Carcerano and Steve Carcerano (Margie), her step children Jason Jankovsky (Virginia), Jody Jankovsky, and Jeanine McCleod (the late Wilfred); her grandchildren Brianna Stortz (Danny), Gabriella Olson (Anthony), Gino Carcerano, Jake and Aaron Jankovsky; her great grandchildren Aiden and Riley Olson, and Elliott Stortz; and her sister Rose Connolly (Mike). Anita is predeceased by her parents Angelo and Armida Ciabattari; her sister Emily Pecora; and her step son Jeffery Jankovsky.
Please consider joining us in remembering and celebrating her life on Friday, August 26th at Chapel Hill Gardens West. Visitation at 11am and service at 12:00 with entombment to follow.
