Catherine M. Reardon, age 77, retired CPD Detective and a lifelong resident of Chicago, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Beloved daughter of the late William and Helen Reardon. Loving sister of the late Daniel. Dear cousin of Marie (James) Nealis, Rosemary Reardon-Kontos, James (the late Margaret) Polo, and Richard (Joan) Reardon. She leaves many other dear friends and relatives. Catherine received her Master’s Degree from Loyola University, was a pillar of the faith community, and a very active parishioner of Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Evergreen Park. She was also active as a Mercy Associate with the Sisters of Mercy and involved with a number of pet therapy organizations. She will be dearly missed by her cherished pets Destiny, Mariah, and Daisy. A visitation for Catherine will be held Friday, February 4, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Rd., Chicago. Chapel Prayers Friday 10:30 AM to Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 10233 S. Central Park, Evergreen Park, for 11:00 AM Mass. Face masks required. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery will take place privately. For more information please call (773) 783-7700.
