Doralida Ruperta Alfaro
MARCH 27, 1943 – OCTOBER 3, 2022
Doralida R. Alfaro, age 79, of Gurnee passed away on October 3rd, 2022 at Elevate Care Riverwoods with her loving family by her side. Doralida was born on March 27th, 1943 in Belize to Estevan and Macaria (Castellanos) Flowers. She grew up most of the time at her parent’s ranch; She absolutely loved the farm life. She married Harold Alfaro in Belize on May 27th, 1967. Doralida was very strong in her catholic faith and was a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed stitching, crocheting and knitting which she loved making and fixing items for her family. Doralida will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband and her brother, Enrique Flowers.
Doralida is survived by, two sons, Darrel (Ada) Alfaro and Eric Sr. (Kimberly) Alfaro; five grandchildren, Gianina, Victoria, Eric Jr., Ian and Eryka; her great granddaughter, Liliana; her sister, Mirtha Broaster as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A Memorial Mass for Doralida will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, IL). Following the Mass, a celebration of Doralida’s life will be held on Saturday at the Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
