John P. Marren, age 76, passed away Jan.24, 2025. Nationally recognized healthcare attorney, Founder of Hogan, Marren, Babbo & Rose, LTD, Marine Corps Veteran, gin enthusiast, amateur food critic and chef. One of the “Damn Few,” he lived a life of historical fact and hysterical fiction. His unique combination of tenacity and tenderness had the ability to lift spirits and inspire those who met him. He was the tide that raised all boats.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee Mertens). Loving father of Brian (McKayle), James “JJ” (Lauren) and Mary Eileen Marren. Cherished grandfather (Papa John) of Harper and Max. Brother of Eileen (Daniel) O’Grady and the late Joseph and Bernard Marren. Proud uncle of many amazing nieces and nephews. Graduate of Loyola University School of Law.
