Margaret A. “Peggy” Zientara

Margaret “Peggy” A. Zientara, age 76 formerly of Mesa, AZ and Lansing, IL passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 peacefully surrounded by her family. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Alan) Pala; her grandson, Alexander; her sister Darlene Hallman, multiple nieces and nephews, a daughter from another mother, Tina (Dennis) Certa and a sister from another mother, Chris (Bruce) Peterson, and two bonus grandsons, Matthew and DJ Certa. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome C. Zientara, parents, John and Margaret Briney; sister, Mary Alice Van Wey and her in-laws, Jerome and Victoria Zientara.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN. Interment will be private. Visitation will be on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service.
Peggy was an avid Cubs fan, and she loved visiting the local casino. She loved all animals, but in the end Waffles stole her heart. She had the most amazing friends and such wonderful neighbors. She was so loved and will be missed by everyone.
