Michael T. Hughes of Chicago, IL., age 70, passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2022. Retired CPD, served and protected the city he loved for 34 years. Best friend and loving husband of Barbara (nee Moran). Dear father of Brian (Jennifer) Bennett, Maggie (Tony) DePalo and Michael CPD (Lauren) Hughes. Adored Papa to Michael, MarySol, Anamarie, Michael, Reese, Maks, Brooks, Davis and Frankie. Loyal brother to Dennis, ret. CPD (Kathy) Hughes. Revered uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many. White Sox always, Elvis on occasion and “The Mayor of Kean Gas Station”. Visitation Tuesday Feb. 8th, at St. Cajetan Church 2445 W. 112th St, Chicago from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Family and friends will meet directly at St. Cajetan Church, Wednesday Feb.9th for Mass at 10:00 am.
