Lisa Marie O’Farrell, born August 30, 1959.
Cherished daughter of Edward Jr. and Margaret (nee Filson) O’Farrell.
Beloved sister of Edward III (Diane), Kevin (Kim), and Keri O’Farrell.
Revered aunt of Shane, Brendan, Luke, Kelly, and Kyle.
Much-loved God Daughter to her aunt, Betty Diggins.
Lisa was admired by her cousins and their families.
Predeceased by her adoring grandparents, Edward Sr. and Mary O’Farrell, and William and Kathleen Filson.
She was a thoughtful and loving friend to many, including her close friend, Al Seyller, her neighbors, members of the Lary Group, and a friend of Bill W.
A special note of gratitude to her dedicated caregiver, Fidelma O’Rourke.
Lisa went home to the Lord on Monday, January 18, 2021, and she wanted it known that she died from an overabundance of Love, Faith, Hope, Courage, Charity, and smiles.
Although she lived and worked for many years on the Northside, she never forgot her Southside roots having been educated at Little Flower, Christ the King, Mother McAuley, Illinois State University, and completing her education with an MBA at Loyola University.
In her youth, she was a talented ice skater, a fine tennis player, an excellent student, and later, a dedicated employee for several financial firms.
For the last few years, she had to deal with several medical problems but courageously and playfully maintained her independence and never complained. A beautiful soul with an enormous heart she will be missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends will gather at Christ the King Church, 9235 S. Hamilton Ave., Chicago, IL 60643 on Thursday, January 21, 2021 for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am. Covid-19 guidelines for social distancing and masks to be observed by attendees.
